Why I’m Running Again
I didn’t run for school board the first time because it was easy.
And I’m not running again because it’s comfortable.
I’m running because it matters.
Over the past few years, I’ve seen up close how decisions are made, how priorities are set, and how quickly we can lose focus on what actually matters inside our schools. I’ve also seen what happens when people stop asking questions.
I’m not willing to stop asking questions.
I’m a mom. I’m a small business owner. And I’m someone who believes our schools should be focused on one thing above everything else: student success in the classroom.
That means:
Strong academics
Clear expectations
Safe, orderly learning environments
Respect for parents as partners
It also means being honest when things aren’t working.
We’ve seen real challenges in our district. Budget pressures. Classroom disruptions. A growing disconnect between decision-making and the day-to-day reality families experience.
We can’t fix those things by avoiding them.
We fix them by facing them head-on.
Serving on the board has not always been easy. There have been disagreements. Tension. Even moments where standing firm came with a cost.
But here’s the truth:
If you’re in this role to be liked, you’re in it for the wrong reason.
I’m here to do the work.
That means:
Asking hard questions
Pushing for transparency
Prioritizing academics over trends.
Making decisions based on what’s best for students, not what’s easiest politically.
I believe our district can be strong. I believe our schools can lead. And I believe parents deserve a voice in that process.
This campaign isn’t about going backwards.
It’s about getting back to the basics that work.
If you believe in strong schools, high expectations, and real accountability, I’m asking for your support.
We have more work to do.
And I’m ready to keep doing it.

Fairness matters. I will always stand with girls for sports to ensure our female athletes have a safe, competitive environment and a level playing field. I am committed to protecting the opportunities that Title IX was designed to provide for every girl in ISD728.
Serving on the board has not always been easy, and recently, we’ve seen how quickly politics can overshadow the real work. While some chose to focus on minor procedural issues and 'ticky-tack' grievances in an attempt to censure my voice, the result was something they didn't expect: overwhelming community support.
I am deeply honored that so many of you saw through the distractions and the political theater. Your encouragement reinforces exactly why I am running for ISD728 School Board.
Your vote is your voice, use it!
